Super friendly, knowledgeable staff. Went in looking for some road cycling shoes. Great selection of products, and the sales associate was able to answer all the fit questions I had. I've had the mechanics work on my bikes on numerous occasions. They give a reasonable turn around time based on how many repair jobs they have on queue, and more often than not, will have it done before the quoted date. Great shop, and super happy to have one within minutes of home! I've also been to their other locations around the Bay Area with similar spectacular experiences.

I had a great experience buying my Santa Cruz. I bought the 5 year basic maintenance because I am very busy nowadays. The first two times I brought my bike in for its tune ups was a great experience. I bring my bike on 8 months later for a tune up, and I get scolded for not making an appointment. The person at the desk was going the accommodate me until the "tech" in the back came up during the conversation and said" you can't just bring it in when you want. Our next available appointment isn't unit two weeks from Wednesday". The last two tune ups were a walk in and a two hour turn around. I felt a bit disrespected a wish I would have went with a private seller if this is how the store handle the warranty work.
If you want to buy a bike and have someone do the maintenance on it, Mike's is for you. The service package is awesome! They don't sell trash, so some people might be surprised about how much a real bike costs, but it's worth it.
I took my bike there to fix it and they said that they would fix it at the end of next month.
Room for improvement: I still have never seen a female or POC employee, so I don't feel like the staff can really meet the needs and answer the questions of all of their customers. On the other hand, I have rarely seen diverse employees at any of the bike shops I've been to, so Mike's is on par with other stores in this respect.
I bought my bike here about 5 years ago (Specialized, love it). At first, the service was so-so, the staff seemed dismissive of inexperienced customers. Now it has really improved! I got my bike a pro tune up and my bike feels brand new! I had none of the problems I had with previous tune ups.
