The office visit was OK - but the procedure center was another story. He is in a rush, and really not interested in the well being of the patient.
It took a very long time to get in to see Dr. Zamani and even longer for him to conduct all of his tests only to show nothing. When I went in to see him originally, it took a month to get an appointment, plus an additional month for 2 of my 3 tests. Considering that I was severely anemic, with black stools and had vomited coffee grounds, this was very upsetting to me. Whatever was wrong healed sometime during the testing process. The prep medication he ordered was name brand and expensive, his office told me that nothing else would do, the pharmacist disagreed. I ended up needing a second medication to make it work - another $10. For someone who is being seen for ongoing medical issues, with a $20 copay at each visit (once a week to check my anemia and vitals), the $50 prep meds are a shock. He is kind, patient, and informative however, I feel that he is exceptionally busy and it takes away from the care that he could be providing to patients.
Dr. Zamani has always been very kind and patient in explaining my diagnosis and answering my questions. He has helped me on two different occasions when I needed urgent care. I would highly recommend him.
I was diagnosed with UC four months ago and initially was under the care of another GI specialist.....Let me just say that I count my blessings for finding Dr. Zamani. His knowledge and bedside manner are excellent. He takes the time to actually talk to his patients and hear their concerns and questions without interrupting them.... He has a gentle caring manner about him while at the same time being as honest and factual as possible. Although my UC still presents with ups and downs, I sure am happy to be under the care and expertise of Dr. Zamani.
