very nice campground with great view and trails

The road to the campground is by far the worst part, very windy with lots of bikers and blind corners. Takes a very long time to get up to the campsite.

The view is awesome here that your could see all bay area on the hill. But somehow, there are lots of flies around the site.

Pretty great place other than the proximity between spots

The view from this campground is absolutely amazing. You can see all the surrounding towns and even San Francisco and the Golden gate bridge if the conditions are right. The campground has a shower and bathrooms which are alright although a little buggy but that's expected from a campsite.

Juniper campground has an awesome view. It's only a few miles from the summit.

We stayed here to take the Bart into San Francisco and it worked very well. North concord has availability (Walnut Creek is usually full on weekdays) and is about 40 minutes driving, and then a 40 minute ride on the Bart. Not bad for avoiding all the traffic though, would highly recommend if your goal is visiting San Francisco and you're looking to camp as there aren't many cheap options near the city.

The facility is great: isolated sites and some more grouped one, clean and free showers, supper clean toilets too. There is a nice view point on the valley!

Only issue we encountered was the racoon going crazy at night on the campground. The food boxes are out of date and need to be replaced. I recommend keeping all food in the car.
