There are no "in and outs" and the $18 cover charge includes a catered buffet.
There is awesome artwork to check out while youre there; and there's dancing as well (Saturdays) as lots of seating areas and tables. Free Wifi too if youre the kind of person who wants to get some work down at this upscale music joint.
I like the fact that they do the complementary buffet. The food was actually surprisingly decent, so it's a pretty good way to get dinner and see a live performance. They offer a reasonable list of wines and bottled beers. If there's any place for improvement, I'd say they could use more food offerings, especially post-buffet, and a whiskey bar. Or maybe a cocktail bar, at least.
If youre looking for somewhere new to meet up with friends and enjoy a night out, consider checking out some live jazz music at Walnut Creek's Impulse Room! This jazz lounge is located near Civic Park in downtown Walnut Creek and their musicians perform in the evenings (check their calendar online for line up schedule and more info on the musicians).

Great comfy space for jazz. Nice staff. Had pretty decent food on buffet before the band played.
